Emily Procter

 American actress Emily Mallory Procter, born on the 8th of October, 1968, is also an activist. She played Ainsley Hayes's character in The West Wing, a NBC political drama (2000-2002 in 2006) and also played Det. Calleigh Duquesne in a CBS police procedural drama titled CSI: Miami (2002–2012).



 



 Early life



 Procter was born on October 8 1988. As a child, she was adopted by William Procter (a general practitioner) and Barbara Jones (a volunteer worker). She was raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was 3 years old when she divorced her parents. She is the older sister of Whit also adopted.



 



 Ravenscroft School, Raleigh was Procter's primary school. Procter was a student at East Carolina University and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She worked as a television anchor for WNCT-TV Greenville, North Carolina. After graduating, she earned degrees in journalism, and dance.
